AVS Audio Editor is a feature-rich utility created for Windows users who need to easily trim sound files, extract segments from songs, apply visual effects, etc. The application features an intuitive interface, allows you to import a wide range of media formats, and preserves the quality of the original files.
All of the built-in editing tools can be found on the main menu of the app. You also have access to a complete help manual, 3 view modes (Waveform, Spectral, and Envelope), an easy-to-use integrated player, etc. You won't need much audio editing experience in order to use this app as it provides you with simple to configure output settings.
Once you finish editing your audio file, you can enter its correspondent ID3 tags and export it to various formats.
The output profiles list is more than half the size of the supported input formats list. This aspect might prove to be quite annoying to some users. For example, you can import APE files but you cannot export audio files with the aforementioned format.
Another thing that bothers me is that the developer practically forces you to acquire an entire set of applications in order to register AVS Audio Editor. Hence, you cannot buy it individually, at a reasonable price.
In conclusion, it's worth buying the package only if you plan on using all of the utilities. Otherwise, I'd suggest you to try a different audio editor.
